The LifeSize Transit
is a complete and enterprise-class firewall and NAT (Network Address
Translation) traversal solution that enables video communications within
and across enterprises and organizations with complicated router and
complex firewall control.
By using the
LifeSize Transit, video conferencing calls can securely traversing
firewalls without open communication ports, leaving networks vulnerable to
possible attacks and security issues.
LifeSize Transit
is a H.460 (H.460.18 & H.460.19) standards-based appliance server with
embedded gatekeeper. It is simple to
setup, manage and use; it can be deployed in the DMZ or outside the
firewall. It is able to support 500
device registrations and up to 20 simultaneous 1080p (1.7Mbps) traversal
calls. Clustering support is
available for additional capacity.
For newer generation of video conferencing system with embedded
H.460 client (e.g. LifeSize endpoints), there is no need to have a
standalone H.460 client in the LAN where the video conferencing endpoints
are.
With
standards-based H.460 and SIP tunneling, seamless H.460 connectivity allows
the end users to experience high quality video communications across
firewalls.
The LifeSize
Transit supports HTTPS secure web access for system configuration and
management.
